Poster Competitions

For the fifth year in a row, the world SCI day will be celebrated worldwide on 5th September 2020, and will focus on prevention of Covid-19 in persons with spinal cord injury.

As part of it, the Prevention Committee of ISCoS is organizing a Poster Competition. All members of ISCoS and its affiliated societies are eligible to participate in it.

The guidelines for participants are as below:-

  • The theme of the poster competition on "Covid-19 and SCI: Staying well" is open for all professionals who are members of ISCoS and its affiliated societies
  • Posters could describe the protective measure taken in the different communities, the health and social challenges people with spinal cord injury have faced, the responses of the health care system, the role of the social media, the lessons that can be learned for the future
  • Entries should include a digital PDF file.
  • Deadline for submission is 15th August, 2020 through email to: [email protected], and cc: [email protected]
  • Applicants name and affiliation to the institute should be clearly mentioned in the mail.
  • All poster contest submissions shall become the property of the ISCoS.

A panel of judges (mostly members of the Prevention Committee) will review the posters. Entries will be judged based on two key factors: the impact the judges believe the poster will have for spreading awareness of prevention as diversity; and the skill and quality reflected in the execution.

The five best posters will be uploaded on the SCI Day website, and will be presented during the forthcoming virtual ISCoS meeting on 5th September. The 3 best posters will then be selected and awarded prizes, USD 250 for the winner and USD 100 each for second and third positions.

We request all members to participate wholeheartedly in the contest. For further information please visit our website World SCI Day or contact Dr Yannis Dionyssiotis.
